Through this website we collect only what you type into a form.

• Contact form: your first and last name, email address, and message, plus your phone number and company name if you choose to give them.
• Newsletter: your email address.
• Client portal waitlist: your name, email address, and optionally your business type and a note.
• Technical information: your browser’s user agent, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store the address itself. The hash lets us detect automated abuse without holding a piece of information that identifies your connection.

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, which never leaves your device.

To answer your enquiry, to send you the newsletter if you asked for it, to record your interest in the client portal, and to keep the forms from being abused by automated submissions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

The contact form asks you to confirm we may use your details to reply. The newsletter is double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and nothing further unless you click the link in it. Every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation requires.

• Our website and database run on a server we control, hosted in [TO CONFIRM] confirm the data centre region.
• Email is delivered through our mail provider, which processes the message in order to send it.
• Appointment booking uses Calendly. The calendar on the contact page does not load until you ask for it, so nothing is sent to Calendly unless you choose to book. If you do, Calendly receives what you enter there under its own privacy policy and sets its own cookies.

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent. Write to info@caretaxsolutions.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
